Right Action: The “Triads”#3: “Intuition” and “Non- Intellectualization”

We’ve already mentioned some types of Triads. There’s another one that can be shown because it is deeply related to a work on ourselves.

Invention, discovery and intuition.

Particularly, intuition is fundamental in this Triad, because it is a result of a repetition.

What do I mean by that?  In order to achieve something new, to jump to a higher octave, we have to exit the limits of a circle, and produce a shock able to allow us to perform a jump.

We have to “walk” the whole perimeter of this circle more times before something new could happen. I’ll explain better: the constant repetition of a mantra, for example, triggers a circular process of repetition,  inside of which, at a determined point, it is possible to find a “breaking point” (we have an intuition).

An inner technique, a form, a mental process, a kata, or a prayer, function in the same way: if repeated continuously,  such mechanical repetition gives the possibility to grasp where lies the point which  would allow us to improve and make the jump that represents the shift.

Better explained: in terms of inner work, a constant mechanical repetition leads to intuition…..to make a shift.

Of course, one can remain “trapped”,  for it’s a whole life in a closed circle, even while performing a “spiritual practice” or in the mechanical gesture of the form, and such things usually happen. The real desire for change, of not being satisfied with the (non) results, to improve, is the cause which can give us the possibility to access  a possible shift. Otherwise, we could acquire a nice technique, become impeccable in the performance of a form (QiGong, Tai Chi, a Kata or so), but without introducing anything new, without growth.  And, even if most  people think to still act in such a way, de facto, they remain mechanical.

Non- Intellectualization

But beware: a common error is to intellectualize everything and it’s not the case of racking your brain to define what kind of Triad you must use, if it’s the right or wrong Triad, etc…

Otherwise, it will happen the same as with the Gurdjieffian “Table of Hydrogens”: “What hydrogen am I producing in this moment?”. An intellectual question.

It’s a normal thing, because usually, we are used to thinking in a linear, logical way, but this is not enough.  In order to perform a change, it’s necessary to change to a new way of thinking: not thinking with words, concepts, or forms, but directly with facts.

In practical words: if there are five different types of actions, what is the difference between them?

The difference is, the form of effort produced.

So, even if, after having read the previous chapters related to this topic, this could seem a contradiction (but rather, a paradox) , we haven’t to create categories for every single action (this is a nice job for a mathematician, but not for a practical, direct everyday action).

In inadequate words, we have to understand that, if we work with stone, we’ll act in one way, and with a beloved, in a different way. It’s useless to make a table to differentiate stone and beloved into categories. We have to verify moment by moment ,what and how we are doing.

The “use” of the Triads is not so simple, just because of our limited way of thinking. That’s why  guidance is needed. While one doesn’t have a guide, it will be enough for now to understand that for every aim, there’s a determined effort we must perform.

It can happen that, without a competent guide, one may be unable to “choose” the right Triad, but what is most important , is  not to do what is usually done: use the wrong Triad. Or, at least, we could learn to insist on an inefficient action without having asked ourselves if we are performing the “right effort”.

What is fundamental, once more, without  guidance, is to understand that activities and actions differ from each other. It’s enough to understand that the wrong results (the failures) of the actions we witness during our life, happen because of the wrong effort we make to achieve the aim.

About mr Sarmoung

Andrea Dandolo je pisac i istražitelj razvoja svijesti i duhovnosti uključen u razotkrivanje drevnih učenja s ciljem olakšavanja unutarnjeg razvoja ljudskih bića.
